Finding employment in Las Vegas has been a struggle for my other half. He spent a couple of months working for Swift and will be returning next month. We decided to move there after my daughter graduates from high school (she'll be going to college) and I figured that it wouldn't be that difficult for me to find work. I've done my fair share of research but I was wondering if anyone could provide me any feedback form a resident perspective?

lol, I'm new at this and I just wrote a book and when I thought I posted, supposedly it didn't.

Anyway, I was wondering about the following:

I'm in the Human Resources industry, granted every business has HR but do you know of a demand?
Can you compare it to anywhere else?
How do residents feel about mixed relationships?
How do they feel about out of towners?
What's the night life like?

Here is links to the newspaper and workforce development:
Home - Grand Island, NE - Grand Island Independent
Nebraska JobLink (use 68803 for your search)

Don't quite know of HR demand.

Shouldn't have a problem with mixed relationships. Grand Island is one of Nebraska's most diversified cities.

The night life will be nothing compared to Vegas. Go out to eat, go to a movie, maybe bowling and bars are about the extent of it.

also go to Grand Island Nebraska Home Page and also Nebraska State Government Employment Opportunities, those two sights are for government and city jobs.
Sorry can't help you with the night life.....unless you want like the hike and bike trails and going to the YMCA at night.
Mixed relationships... like tpades said Grand Island is very diversified.
Out of towners..you just need to find your nitch and where you fit in at. I have found people that feel they are far superior than others to fun down to earth people..
