Hi. I'm taking a road trip from Northern Indiana to Los Angeles and I usually take the I-40 route but thinking of trying the I-80 route that crosses Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado and Utah. I am leaving November 2nd. Just curious what the typical weather is this time of year? Is there typically much snow? Thanks!

Record snow in North Platte for the month of October this year, so it's difficult to predict. I-80 you mentioned going through Colorado... plan on going south on I-76 to I-70 and then west? Typically, November is a pretty good travel month in all the states you mentioned with that big BUT it might snow. If you go through Colorado on I-70, you have a fair chance of snow in the high mountains.

Thanks to you both. I think I'm just going to take the southwest route, I-44, I-40. I really don't have time for snow to slow me down. Thanks again!
