We'll see what happens. Medical technology isn't the same as it was in 1973. Sometimes we need to give credit to human innovation and technological advances and take a look at things with new eyes. It's easy to say, "that's the way it's always been." The precedence they are talking about is 37 years old in a field where breakthroughs happen everyday.

It seems to me that if abortion rights supporters are so confident in current law based in viability they wouldn't be falling over themselves to declare this unconstitutional. They would want to hear what the other side has to say, see if maybe there is some new evidence spawned out of 37 years of medical advancement to suggest maybe current law is a bit outdated and in need of a revision.
