We want to move to Northern NV, and want lowest cost of living and humidity, but also have a town with medical close by.

You need to define your terms a little...

What do you mean by northern Nevada. That can mean the Reno area or it can mean the virtually unpopulate area of the norther quarter of the state.

What do lyou mean by a town with medical? You want a first class hospital within 100 miles? Or a small town with a doctor?

Lowest humidity? Northern Nevada is not particularly dry...you would go southern if you wanted that.

Default More

A bit more info would be handy, You are talking about a nearly 400 mile by 200 mile chunk of land. What do you plan to do for work?

You might want to look into moving to Wells in the Northeastern corner of Nevada. It is a quiet little town at the foot of the East Humboldt Mountain Range.
Housing is very reasonable. Cost of living is as reasonable as anywhere.

No offense to anyone, but I live in Elko (which is north-eastern) and the cost of living here has gotten outrageous. It isn't humid here ( I don't know where anyone got that idea) and it is not a bad place to live as far as crime rate, community caring, etc. But you better have a good income, otherwise you'll drown fast here. Jobs are slim to none right now, even with the mining here.

Nevada.... humid? Nope. But you do need to narrow things down a little. Nevada is a good sized state. Northern Nevada could mean waaaaaaay over there or waaaaaaay over here.
