A stick built home is built on a concrete foundation and is framed with 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 studs.

we have stick built & modular homes here in nye county. sometimes getting a mortgage or home owners insurance on modulars can be tough/impossible.

in the past, nye county was nothing but modulars. the big boom of 2004 helped to change the amount of stick built vs modular. right now i'd say stick built is the more popular option.

Greetings...I have been reading ALL of the posts and found that indeed, some are quite OLD. I used to live in Pahrump, 1994 to 2000 I have since visited and have seen quite a change in the cosmetics of the town. At the time I lived there, Pahrump was a haven for 'meth'. I also did not like the school system. It is just me now and I am considering returning to Pahrump...I am really concerned with safety...as I know heavy drug communities often bring about frequent home break ins...I understand there is a new Sheriff in town...that alone is a huge step up. Thanks for any information you can supply...

yes we have a new sheriff. yes at one point in time we had a meth problem out here, no we don't anymore. that's not saying that meth is completely gone, but it's not in abundance like it once was.

what else do you want to know?
