We arrived in Pahrump about a week ago. So far so good. The only problem we are having is with our cell phone reception. We have had Sprint for about 20 years and have never had a problem before, so we're wondering if the problem is Sprint's service here. Will Verizon or AT&T be better here? We hate to have to change providers because then we will have to get new phones too. Please let us know what service you have and if it's good, or if you've had problems with it too.

Thanks much.

welcome to town! sorry about the weather, it's not usually like this. this is the type of weather we experience in january. usually right now it's mid 50s, with chilly nights.

anyhooo....cell phone providers. verizon has the best reception. tmobile is pretty good, as is at&t. i don't know of anyone with sprint here in town.

Thanks cre8lite. I guess I'd better start thinking about changing from Sprint.

Hey, the weather is no problem. At least it's not the 7 inches of snow that is predicted for PA, which I left.

I have now been completely without any cell phone coverage from Sprint for 24 hours. No phone calling, no GPS , no internet, no texting/messaging. They tell me that they have tower(s) down and are working on fixing the problem, but have no ETA on when it will be fixed. This is so bad. It's a good thing that where we are staying we have WiFi. We have to travel today and without GPS, I have had to write down the directions.

I saw the suggestions from Cre8lite. Would anyone else like to chime in with recommendations, and how their coverage has been in Pahrump?

Thanks much.
