The more I travel the more I appreciate Northern Nevada. For instance when we camped at a beautiful reservoir in Wyoming, we were dismayed to find signs posted warning of toxic algae bloom in the water (dogs could not swim) and to have heavy, heavy wildfire smoke AND to discover that area was having a moth invasion.

So, we spent two days with our dogs leashed away from the toxic lake water, coughing from the smoke and not getting much sleep as I spent hours each night freaking out over never-ending moths squeezing into the trailer and going crazy around any light source, bumping into my face, falling into food and water. It was sort of a nightmare. The pronghorn herd in camp made up for it though, felt homey with them about as I have wild horses and deer running around my neighborhood here in Nevada

Northern Nevada is really laid-back compared to many other areas. People are live and let live and not having a lot of rules and regulations is a big plus for me. Also, we have so much public land (BLM) to recreate in and enjoy and it limits growth. Many other places have limited public lands, a lot of private property and fences, plus unlimited growth.
