I know there can be snow storms along the I-80 corridor as late as April but I am planning to move back to the Mid-West from Reno in mid-february... We will be driving I-80 the whole way... There will be breaks between winter storms and Feb generally isnt as cold as January or now and it will be in mid-february...

What do you think are my chances of successfully making it through Nevada on I-80 without running into any major snow/ice storms that could cause me to stop?

I don't think any one can answer you question with any certainty. Winter here is unpredictable. If your going to travel in winter expect the worst and hope for the best...it's all you can do

exactly....

99% of the time you'll be fine, but just be prepared for something stupid to happen (e.g., know relatively where you are, have cold weather gear, pay attn to the weather). good thing is that storms don't usually come outta nowhere...you'll have some advanced warning (at least a days worth) before anything deteriorates too badly.
