Ok we have a contract on our house yay!! Never thought we would get here. We really want out of upstate NY!!! My husband and I and the dog all plan on moving asap. First we need jobs he is in admin he works for the state and I in care work in a nursing home I also have my own business making and selling jewelry. Where is the best places to apply for work in NH?? Also looking for affordable places to rent. We are thinking in or around the manchester area unless you can suggest some other place. We are pretty much willing to do any kind of work just to get out of here. We are christians and are also looking for a good friendly chrasmatic church to be apart of. I miss being close to the sea and NH reminds me of home ( Scotland ).

Thanks for reading and any advice you may be able to offer would be gratefully recieved

Stay where you are until you have jobs set up. FWIW - the NH government pay is barely above poverty level and there aren't that many nursing homes.

I wouldn't have thought there'd be that many Charismatic Churches in NH, but a quick google search says there's 7 of them in the mid/south/eastern section (Pembroke, Concord, Bedford, Hancock, Nashua, Dover, Laconia, Raymond, Londonderry, Amherst & Eliot).

There are a few nursing homes also: I can think of 3 right off in the Nashua area: Greenbriar (where my parents are vacationing for a little while), Courville, & Huntingington - and I think Crestwood? in Milford. Whether anyone is hiring, I have no idea.

However, I echo Greg's sentiments: it's really rough to move and THEN find jobs in this economy! there's no guarantee of getting them and it's a pretty big move on spec. Good luck!
