I plan on moving to New Hampshire in the next 12 months from Massachusetts. I was wondering if anyone knew of any books or guides that I could find from a state website or such for people just moving to New Hampshire?
When my grandparents moved to Charlotte a few years back they had a few books/guides such as "Welcome to Charlotte Your New Home!" and "Welcome to North Carolina: A Movers Guide to the Tar Heel State"
So does anyone know of anything similar? I'd like to have something physically in front of me to read
Your best guide would be this forum. Whatever info you may need is right here in the NH forum. Books are outdated. The net is the place for current info.
Best of luck as we too are using this forum to relocate.
I have seen similar web site/hard copy for the city of Concord...
years ago, in different economic times, when I lived in Texas, there were bumperstickers that said "welcome to Texas, now go home" - it was during times when Mich in trouble in TX booming and swamped with new residents. Just a fun memory - Welcome to NH!
This is funny looking for info to on NH, i will be relocating within 18mths from Miami. Scared to death just me and my baby. First time to this site
Big moves, especially mostly by yourself, are scary things! Especially when climate shock is a very likely thing.
Any questions or concerns you have about your move that we could help with? Why/where are you moving to (in the state)? maybe we can help make it a little less scary.
