White Mountains area at peak now, or leaves falling from the rain?

What about the rest of the state???

I'll be driving through Littleton/Franconia Notch tomorrow and hoping for a glimpse of sunshine. Here in northern VT the leaves are also at peak. I thought the rain and wind would take most of them down but much to my amazement that doesn't seem to be the case. Yes, quite a few leaves got blown off the trees, but the maples seem to have come through it all quite well. I haven't seen the higher elevations, though, due to cloud cover. So that may be a different story.
