Just curious as to what areas or towns in the Lakes Region or Seacoast would be considered by most as affluent.

Seacoast area's most affluent areas would include Rye, New Castle, Portsmouth, and areas of North Hampton. Lakes Region: Wolfeboro for sure, then I would guess Alton & Meredith. Just curious, why do you ask?

We are thinking of moving to the area and are considering starting some type of landscape/lawn service. Not that we only want high-end clients but I am just trying to figure out if the economy is so bad that they might be the only customers that might need a service like this right now.

I echo Valerie's suggestions.

Rye, New Castle, Hampton, Portsmouth, Windham, areas near the Seacoast.

Wolfeboro, Alton, Gilford, Meredith, Center harbor, Tuftonboro, Moultonborough, Holderness, New Hampton, in the Lakes Region.

Agreed, but highly concentrated in that area. If you go out a few miles to Lyme, Caanan areas it is an entirely different story.

Judging from the number of Landscape/ snow plow trucks I see in Londonderry a lot of other people have the same idea. I would write a detailed business plan, including listing the existing companies, before I put any money into the business,.

What a landscape business needs here is long contracts with commercial building owners or companies with large campuses. I really don't think home owners alone are going to make you rich, even in the affluent areas. Incidentally, the whole state is affluent by national per capita averages. You'll need to buy plows for your trucks too. After the leaves are cleaned up, it's a long wait to the spring thaw.

The affluent crowd still likes BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Lexus, Volvo, etc. I prefer a Subaru myself as it does everything well at a low price point with great safety/reliability/efficiency.
