Wondering about how close this school's proximity is to towns and public schools. It says a rural setting.
Thanks!

it's right off Pleasant St. and is very close to the city. In this case, I would guess that rural means there are lots of trees and beautiful lawns with gorgeous buildings.

Pleasant St. is home to Concord Hospital and the NH Mental Institution. There are lots of residences combined with professional associations.

One could easily ride a bicycle to get to the movie theatre or the malls or the state house.

my rich cousin's daughter when there (graduated about 4 years ago). Very pretty setting. All the students seem to know the local cab drivers on a first name basis.

It sits on a really nice piece of land, but is very close to downtown Concord. Great school, perhaps the best private school in the country.

I hope my comment isn't too late to do you good. While St Paul's is only a few miles from downtown and is bounded by an Interstate, it is isolated- the campus is gated at both ends and the school owns a massive amount of land. Town-gown contact is rare, mostly students shopping in town. As an aside, I worked at the CVS on Main St, and the worst shoplifters were St Paul's girls- true story.

There isn't a gate on the pleasant street end, it's a public road.

Default Maybe not a physical gate yet, but...

From the Concord Planning Board Minutes of 15 June, 2011: (Stephen Henninger, Asst. City Planner)" reported that Dunbarton Road and Silk Farm Road are now private streets. An agreement between the City and St. Paul’s School retains the right for public passage for both pedestrians and bicyclists along both Dunbarton Road and the discontinued portion of Silk Farm Road, as well as through the campus from Pleasant Street to Clinton Street for emergency vehicle access."

St. Paul's School is not very rural but is probably still very 18th century.
