I visited Sweden this year and they have what is called a Swedish Pump... an AC that works the other way around???!!! Is there any market in NH for something like that with the high cost of oil... just using electricity?
This "pump" is an AC for humidity control and warm summers and ionniser and dry heat in the winter. The neat thing is the remote control!!!!
The reason why I'm asking is that I live in California and heating options in NH are unknown to me.

I asked about heating in NH and I think the wood pellet stove is the economical method of choice.

I don't know about the swedish pump but I know in FL a lot of homes have central a/c and central heat - all extric and all through the same system - and mainly its cheaper that way because it's the exact opposite of NH..lol.. not very cold winters and absurdly hot summers . NH has hot summers but nothing in cmoparison..lol.. that's why I left FL and am thinknig about moving back to NH.

The previous poster was right .. pellet stoves are very good depending on square footage. With electric heat it can get pricey very quickly.... when I lived in CT in an apt. had electric heat and my electric bill for only about 900 sq ft apartment was like 300 a month.... I wouldn't want to test that in a home . But if oil keeps going up, you never know - but it wouldn't be my first choice.

We had a wood stove growing up but you have to make sure you get it cleaned properly when you should.. we had like 3-4 chimney fires when I was a kid up in NH....very scary.....
