Does anyone know any good websites or other sources to look for rentals in the area? I've looked on Craigslist and a few rental sites, but mainly just found rentals in the more built up areas like Manchester.
I'm looking for something that is convienent to both Manchester and Concord, so I was thinking Hooksett would be great. However, I'm just not finding any listing online in my range ($650-800), 1 bedroom.
There are a lot of apartment complexes on Route 3A, at the Manchester/Hooksett town line.
My daughter has lived at Washington Park Estates for 7 years now. She took the apartment while she was in college (cheaper than dorm rooms) and has been there since.
If you get a chance to look at Washington Park, you will see that there are other complexes also in the area. I can't think of their names right off hand, but you can't miss them. Exit 10 off of 93 - head south and you are surrounded. There is also a Wal-Mart, Market Basket and other stores conveniently located nearby.
I'm going to reopen this after a few months of job searching. I'll be working in Concord in my new position and I believe that my girlfriend is going to be receiving a job offer in Manchester. Any additional recommendations would be great. We will be driving in the area tomorrow looking for unlisted apartments. I know the budget isn't much, but we were hoping to find something safe for $650-800/month.
I'm very excited to move up to either Manchester/Concord. I'm also going to be pursuing my dream to start a small business on the side as well. Can't wait!
$800 is a tough budget. You're probably best looking for a privately owned apartment in a house. Alternatively a 1 bedroom in Washington Park goes for about $850 which includes heat and there are typically some sort of specials. Washington Park is close to the Manchester/Hooksett line and is very close to 93, so an easy commute to Concord and Manchester. There are other apartments in that area but I think this is the least expensive.
I realize for $800 we're not going to find our way into some of the nicer apartment complexes with all the amenities. We are starting to look more into privately owned or smaller complexes in the area. Ideally we'll find something within a walking distance to downtown. The size isn't such a big deal for us.
If anyone knows anyone that is looking to rent an apartment in the next few months feel free to private message me. We went to look up in Concord last night and really liked it more than Manchester despite there being apparently not much of a night life. We liked the small town feel.
Concord is sweet - I have another daughter at Salisbury Green located on the heights. She picked up a beautiful 1 bedroom apartment for $730. (special - normal rent is $830). Her contract states that the rent will not increase more than 1% per year.
