Uh this is NH not MA. The only reason we have so many Red Sox fans is because we have so many transplants. Yankee Fans Welcomed!

Staying on topic, growing up and living in rural NH my whole life, we had very few black folks living here. The few that do are treated no different than anybody else.

Just from what I notice I find northeren (northeast) caucasians to be smarter, more adjusted and comfortable in their own skin than the average southern white, and probably why the racial tension is less up there. Not as old fashioned I guess. More evolved without the bad past history.
I grew up in NH and I now live in the south. The most I am going to say is that based on observing there is a REAL reason for why there is hate. It goes back to contributing to society!

Hey, we're a black family on our way to NH for the same reason. Just curious, did you ever make the move?

I saw MUCH more racism in South Florida when I lived there than I ever have in NH. I rarely heard the N word in NH, and if I did, it was perhaps as part of a joke or something (not that it was acceptable, but wasn't used with hate). In SoFla, I heard it actually directed towards specific people. I was horrified.

If you're in the Concord area, and enjoy a beer now and then, come to Area 23, its a new bar in town that is run by liberty minded folk like yourself.

I just wanted to chip in, I commented before and have now reached some progress. Like I mentioned we're a black family on our way to now finalize the move, and I just spent the long weekend in New Hampshire interviewing for and getting a job, and driving around to Portsmouth, Nashua, Manchester and a few smaller cities. The vibe is totally cool and I experienced zero racism or weird vibes. I strongly encourage you to make the move. There are a lot of opportunities here, and cost of living is a lot lower than in most states. I've lived in majority white context most of my life and the most racism I'vexperiences are from Asians in San Francisco Bay Area.

I live on the seacoast and have never seen any racial strife. I have a Chibese daughter and nobody bats an eyelash. There is a significant Indian population here as well.

I live in Nashua in a condo community and we have a number of black families and individuals here that fit right in. I used to live in NYC so it was definitely a bit startling to me how "white" NH is when I first moved here. But, in the ten years that I've been here, there seems to be more diversity. Or, it may be just my moving a few miles to a different town changed the demographic for me. In any case, NH is very much a "live-and-let-live" state. If you're cool, then your neighbors will probably be cool too.

You're right. Blacks can do for themselves in actuality but in order for them to do so again, they will have to be left alone by the mainstream media which hasnt been happening so that needs to be destroyed, corporate whites also. As soon as they can separate, they wont have a reason to blame white people anymore really. Theres white conservationists also who just want to be left alone so if its down to those whites and blacks in a society, I think it could function well. I listen to both viewpoints enough and not all the black racialists are the kill whitey types either like the media wants you to believe. Some of them want to be left alone too, in fact most I'd say. So instead of going to Africa, keeping the blacks under you, this is a proper solution to deal with racism.

Do you know that there was probably a 50/50 chance when you saw that in FL that a Southerner either said it or a yankee or midwesterner? I once got infuriated with this black guy and used the word too. Turned out he was a trucker helper from Orlando FL and didnt even live in the area I was in and I lost my job over him. And don't get all excited and say "good I'm glad you did". I mean I was over the top too but the reason it all started was because when I was working hard and moving all the boxes off the truck, he was just sitting down and I didnt see him doing much. A lot of us face white working class anger also and the liberal media doesn't help either when they try to make all blacks victims just like what CrazyDave said. Then when I got reported, he ran to the white heads instead of dealing with me personally. He just told me oh he lives in Orlando like he was supposed to be tough or something then reported me. So those people you're horrified of, could be a regular guy too and it shouldnt bother you that much. In fact nowadays if random blacks see me or pass me, they say hi and probably see me like a Jesus figure because I am tall and have a beard and long hair, almost like Christ himself. They usually dont screw with a guy like me.

And also before we get too crazy responding to the OP here, this is an old threat from 2011, he probably isn't on craigslist anymore. And I would hope since this is a NH forum I would not get censored so lets discuss this like adults.

I have to say, I'm curious as well. Much like the OP, I am black and libertarian-leaning. I've actually discouraged liberals/dems from moving because I like NH the way it is (sounds?), NOT for what it COULD be. So in all seriousness, do I have to worry about getting lit up by cops or am I good to go as long as I lean towards liberty, work hard, stay out of trouble and mind my own business? Thank in advance.
