So I'm fairly familiar with Manchester. I know there is a night life with various bars and clubs. There seems to be a good amount of people in their 20s to meet in the area.

What does Concord have going on? I'm debating between the two cities. I will be working in Concord and eventually attending Franklin Pierce University if I am accepted to physical therapy school. However, at least from the outside it seems like there aren't as many people in their 20s. I would prefer not to have to travel all the time to meet people my age.

Any feedback would be great.

I'd say Manchester would definitely be the best bet for meeting people near your age. UNH has a campus there as well as a nursing/pharmacy school from I forget what college, and others...

That said- checkout meetup.com; or other places where you could find groups that do activities that you like (hiking, or whatever).

Manchester has younger demographics than Concord. Manchester is a much larger city so it doesn't surprise me.

Manchester has a much better nightlife and more to do for people in their 20s. More bars, clubs, minor league sports teams, gatherings, concerts, etc. Concord...not so much.

True. Very few places in Concord- even Downtown stay open after dark.

Check out the free weekly paper "The Hippo Press" or the weekend section of the newspapers.

Yes, they do an excellent analysis of events going on as well as restaurant reviews.

After visiting Concord this past weekend, I have shifted more towards Concord. As I had thought, there was less going on than in Manchester, but this might not necessarily be bad thing.

I really liked the downtown area the small town feel. If I wanted to meet up with others my age I'm sure I could find some around Concord because of the few schools there, or Manchester is a short 15-20 minute drive.

I really liked the parks in Concord compared to Manchester. In addition, once spring/summer comes around I will be fairly close to places like the lakes region, or even the White Mountains.

Thank you for all the info.

For what its worth, I work in the building you will be going to school in, and we have a young temporary student working here, he initially moved to Manchester from NY because he wanted the nightlife, etc, he ended up moving to concord a few months ago for the quicker commute, realizing that quicker commute of living in concord was more worth it then the "night life" of living in Manchester. its still a quick ride if you want to go out for the night too.
