It's not that I care what people wear or don't wear - I just imagine how uncomfortable I would be if I were out for a long walk when it is cold out. Well to me it can feel cold when it's 30 F. Sure if it's been well below that for a long time and then warms UP to 30 it feels warm. I can run outside of the house briefly to get wood but I couldn't take a mile walk without at least jeans and a fleece jacket.

I wear shorts when at home yr round. I also heat with wood and keep my house around 75. Outside, I dress for it.

I have ben wearing sandals year round for the last few years. Wool socks keep my feet warm and the open mesh keeps them dry and healthy. I do wear boots during snowstorms or very cold days. I also wear closed shoes or boots when riding my motorcycle just for protection.
