But can't you imagine the same type of person who would be kind enough to spend a lot of money on purchasing land (with a donut hole in it) for conservation also being the type of person who would try to force a less fortunate property owner into accepting 1/1000th of the purchase price for their land? Yeah, that is hard to swallow.

You don't have to believe anything I say. I am just stating reality. If I sell you a car, and one of the rods is knocking, and I tell you that, and you can hear it.... coming back later if the motor seizes isn't really my problem. Simple enough?
There are plenty of other things to swallow.
Burger King isn't the only place in town trying to sell a Whopper. Their attorneys might have something to say about that
Since I only have a sample size of one, it only states existence. But it has, and will uphold. When the deed says effectively 'landlocked with no ground access', that is sort of cut-and-dried. What part of that is incomprehensible? I am not trying to 'sell' anything. Just stating my experience, and outcome.

That has to be disclosed but that will have no bearing on whether or not an easement is granted (it will be).

It has already been declined, as this was a couple of years ago, when I lived in NH, Stupid is as stupid does. JMHO.
But as I have said, C-D means "Chronic Disinformation". What Ivy did YOU get your JD from?, And how many lawyers do you have? This was a slam-dunk.
JMHO, and back to the topic of "Why is property so cheap?"

Err, changing your story now? You said nothing earlier about a judge deciding against it. I think you're a chronic fibber here.
It doesn't take a big team of lawyers to handle a routine real estate issue like this.
I'm surprised he doesn't have a private army guarding his land so no hunters get bambi on his land and no one enters the donut hole.
Okay, back on topic: I think the above posts about the lack of jobs explains the low prices. It's the same scenario though not quite as affordable across the river in VT's NEK. Lower prices because there's just nothing there to make a living with unless you're very lucky. Both are very beautiful places and if you can land a decent job, great places to live.

Why would northeast VT be more expensive? One would think property would be significantly cheaper because, as a VT resident, you're subjected to the much higher VT taxes.
