Right now we have estimates scheduled with Empire and National Floor, but I'm sure there are at least a few good local companies we should be looking at.
Why? I am a little leary of them and National Floor which is why I was asking for local companies but it would help to know specific reasons why I shouldn't use them.
I quit kicking carpet years ago because the deals at the big box stores made it to hard to compete. I'd call home depot or lows for the carpet. I'll dm you a guy for floor finishing.
We needed a carpet fast and without fuss because we had more important projects at the time. They advertised next day installation. The rep was very nice but couldn't install next day. Booked a couple days out for install. Two seemingly homeless men in a barely running van showed up late and realized the carpet was cut too small. Wasted time. Came back a few days later.
Carpet had areas where the pile was pulling out. Like bald spots. After much fighting it got resolved. Many don't get resolved- do a search for Empire complaints.
