Couple/few times a year I drive to Magog in Quebec to do grocery shopping.
Magog has 3 grocery stores.
Up 93 to 91 cross border in Stanstead and onto Canada 55.
Sometimes go as far a Sherbrooke.

Anyone else grocery shop in Canada?

That is our preferred route as well, but we continue to Victoriaville, and sometimes Drummondville to visit family. Our grocery shopping consists of 3 things: fromage en grains (the curd cheese that you would use to make poutine), maple syrup (many many cans) and tart au sucre (sugar pie). Just thinking about it makes me want to take a trip to the great white north just to get a fix What sort of items do you shop for up in Magog?

The last time i was over the border was oct right after 911, pre pass ports still........

At the rate i would want to go to CDN a pass port is just cost prohibitive. I used to go do French and Indian War living history events, but no more.... No one care anyway except parks Canada is having a bad time getting enough money to save the old forts.. Oh well, who needs any old forts...

You do realize that a passport is like $140 and is good for 10 years......$14 a year

If you just want to go to Canada by car (not air) then you can get a $30 passport card instead.

Passport Fees

I have always had a passport, made quick trips to Europe/Bahamas on a week's notice. I think they are priceless when you get an opportunity on short notice.

Oh no I didn't.... last time my wife had a pass port it was 80 bucks....

I used to go to Canada and Bermuda with out any silly non-sence like that, and to the Bahama's just by speed boat.....

Next thing you know the Govt will want ID to cross state borders... Oh Well I am content in NH and really have no place to go. i saw the USA by motorcycle in 2005 and 2006 for 10 months and when i got back i got stopped for a out of date inspection sticker the same day i registered the car again. I was questioned about why the car wasn't registered and inspected, and the new stickers were on the tags as it was...

When i explained about the trip causing the delay, I was informed no one has the mental awareness to ride a bike thru 40 states in 10 months time non-stop, which I had to explain no one ever told me that before. And so now I know better to leave NH on any motorcycle too

I am just learning all about how we can legislate safety too... Any day now I expect the feds to show up and install padding in the tub !
