Well then, where do all the "cultured" people go?

I had a good time at Hampton from ages 16-22. Guess that makes me white trash. I go to York Beach, ME now. Is that a white trash beach too?

I love Hampton Beach, North Hampton is even better. Rye is also good.

The Easter Bunny is scheduled to bury thousands of eggs on the beach on March 30th. Check it out at 11AM...maybe you'll find the GOLDEN egg!

The Ashworth is still a great place to stay - breakfast on the balcony....mmmmm mmmm mmmmmm

Thanks for posting this. We may check it out if the weather is good.

i stayed at flagship motorcourt last summer. it was kinda run-down but i wasn't in the hotel most of the time. i was pretty much drunk the whole time on the beach or in the bars. they actually have a small casino there next to the ballroom. $4 max bets on table games but i won enough to cover my bar tab so it was all good. i saw the offspring there and it was insane! i loved it. i didn't have to worry about driving because everything was within walking distance to the hotel. and don't stay at the ashworth. it is untouchable during the summer, even in early june. you're looking at $200-$300 a night.

they have a strict open bottle law there from what i believe. what i did on the beach was just fill up my half gallon water bottle(not see through) with beer. either that or buy a 20 ounce coke, dump out half of it and fill it with rum or bourbon. you also need to get fried clams there. they're expensive, but awesome.

off season at the Ashworth is $85 night. Mid-June can run as much as $183 per night for 2.

Although there are some areas that the real estate agents won't tell certain people about; places where the same people have continued to rent in the summer for 40 years or more. Theses places sometimes have openings for a week in June, but if you're not the type that we KNOW we won't have any trouble with, don't be surprised if you're not told.

One bad tenant can put you in the black for years, with "summer season" generally only 8 weeks long.

Ain't going to be me (though trust me, I would have, given the opportunity). One of my best friends, when I was in a bad place, ran a search-and destroy mission every night in Vietnam... The stories he told me (and what he taught me) scared the crap out of me....

Your employer here is irrelevant; Hampton Beach/Salisbury/York/Old Orchard are commonly known as WT places, so we choose to go elsewhere.... Just an opinion.
It has been WT territory for ages (though OOB used to be nice based on what I have read), and all those areas will continue to be, for decades to come. Thank g*d I moved far away.

Old Orchard is where the Canadians tend to go although a few will travel on down to NH.

People that go to Hampton, North Hampton and Rye Beaches bring their families, and picnics, play on the beach, look for shells and rocks and make mermaid clothing out of seaweed.

There are ice cream stands and general stores for treats. There are rest rooms at the beaches.

There are concerts on Wednesday nights and the weekends. Country dancing is popular. Yes, there is a drinking crowd that shows up at night time when the kiddies are in bed. Drugs are not visible as there is a high police presence and cameras everywhere.

Some people rent for a week, some for the summer, and some rent from May through October, the standard season. Most come for the day trips and it's a great way for families and friends to spend the day together.

It's enjoyable. Going to the beach is a pleasant experience (except when they had filters floating up on the beach 2 years ago) and if you want to relegate people that go as white trash, than that says more about you than anything else.

There's a reason NH is listed as having the best beaches when we only have 18 miles of shore. It's beautiful. Come and see.

Hampton Beach is getting better. The new band shell looks really nice and the beach side has been spruced up...it's now officially a state park I believe.

The owner of Sal's pizza bought the boardwalk area so I'd expect that to get cleaned up as well. My understanding is rent went WAY up...guessing it's a way to get rid of the current tenants.

There may be something decent showing at the casino.

Atlantic Breeze suites seem to have the best reviews and I think they are north of the "noise".

Ocean Wok near the bridge has good chinese.

Brown's or Markie's for some lobster/steamers/fried clams.

Blinks fried dough.

Go north to Rye for Petey's or Beach Plum lobster rolls.
