Going to head up early tomorrow morning with my kids to watch the balloons lift off. Anyone been? Should we park and take the bus over? Or is there somewhere across the river that we can just sit and watch? I've never been up to Pittsfield before.

Also, where would you go for breakfast afterwards? We'll be heading back to Nashua.

This sounds so neat, thanks for posting about it. I don't have any info, but think we might head up there Saturday!

I'm planning to head over that way right after dinner, and hopefully (weather permitting) get some pictures of the balloon glow, just after sunset. It's an amazing sight! Thanks for the head's up on this great festival

Went to this a couple years ago and it was a bust because of winds. Only one or two tethered balloons lifted off briefly.

The food vendors seem to be the big draw for this fair.

And, on that note, this was the heaviest crowd I have ever seen in one place at the same time. Being rather "petite" we felt very out of place there. Maybe this was just a random coincidence, but it was kinda alarming.

The balloon glow was beautiful, but I was surprised that there were fewer than 10 balloons taking part. Hopefully tomorrow night's Balloon Glow will have more participants! Here are a few pictures that I snapped:

This morning there were more than a dozen balloons...I think 14. It was great!
