Can anybody give me a ballpark cost of a full mouth deep cleaning and scaling? Does $1400 sound excessive?
Thanks

I paid $1,600 few years ago at a new (at time) dentist in Concord.

$400 per quarter.

Just be careful.
This is a pseudo money scam for some/many dental practices to collect your money. Get a 2nd opinion before spending all of this money.

Yup,

Just to clarify, deep pocket root planing is needed to save your teeth and prevent permanent bone loss. If you do not have it done, you may have to have teeth extracted down the road.

Dental deep cleaning | scaling and root planing

I'm pretty sure I need a deep pocket cleaning. Anyone with an informed idea of the costs in the New England area? I understand it varies by region.

That sounds like fun. It also sounds expensive.

Pretty sure is going to be expensive.

Like I state above. This procedure is a money generator for some dentists. But if you do not want to seek a 2d opinion and you have been convinced that you will lose all of your teeth by some dentist then go ahead and get it done.

Have the dentist provide you with the measurements. They measure each tooth. Then read up on internet. Numbers run 1 through 5 if I remember correctly.

If you are still convinced by that "nice" dentist. Then get it done.

You can also try for a less expensive bill by traveling to Tufts Dental School in Medford, Massachusetts. Part of Tufts University Medical School.

Not asking if I should have it done. Just looking for reliable numbers.

Not sure what your post is all about.

You are just seeking "numbers"?

If so, walk into all the area dentist offices and ask.
If you want more numbers use the telephone to call dentists and ask for the numbers.
