So, I live in Windham but haven't met too many people here. I am, however, hoping to soon.

I promise to let you of all my findings on this subject.

Although....I am probably the wrong person to ask bc I am COMPLETELY oblivious if someone is snobby or not. It must be bc I think I am better than everyone else.

I've lived in bedford my whole life. Like others have said they're are some "snobs" as any wealthy small town would have, however I always felt the stuck up people were parents rather then students. I like where I live and I agree with others who say it seems like you've made up your mind, idk why you're even asking that questions you clearly don't plan to move here. Also I'm sure they're are divorced couples living here but like I said I've lived here my whole life and no one I know has divorced parents, none of my parents friends are divorced so I'm not too sure where you're getting your facts from about wives getting there husbands houses. And if you work hard and make a ton of money why not buy a nice house with a nice car in a nice town? Not to mention with a brand new highschool (though the school is more of a college since it's so ridiculously hard) That's just totally stupid to bash someone for there hard earned money. Just because you may not have been so successful to have nice things doesn't mean everyone deserves to live like you.

As someone that has lived in Greenwich, Connecticut and Nob Hill, San Francisco
you don't know snobbery.. Bedford appears quite normal and solidly middle class.

I just had a peak at Know Nonsense's C-D profile. He describes himself as an "Independent thinker", lists his occupation as "Hard Work" and his education as "Self Educated"... so I'm thinking that he has some personal issues with those leading a traditional lifestyle, with a serious career, who are formally educated at good universities and who place a high priority on their children also doing well academically. He perceives people like that "snobs" when they just have a different life path than he does.

In the past, those who thought me a snob, where those who didn't place a high value on intellectualism and higher education. Or perhaps because of my tastes in music. Or it was that professional sports didn't interest me. But once they really got to know me, they changed their opinion of me and just realized that our life passions were different. With a little effort and digging deeper, ultimately we all have things in common that we can bond over. Also having a good sense of humour and not taking ourselves too seriously helps greatly.

And Know Nonsense could be considered a snob himself for looking down the people of Bedford and Windham and considering his values and life path superior to theirs. But isn't NH all about having freedom of choice?
