Has anyone ever stayed at this Inn? If so, was it a pleasent experience? I bet the pictures dont do it justice. It looks just beautiful. Does anyone have some other recommendations for other Inns that offer spa treatments?

I've never stayed there, but I live in the area and I've heard lots of good things about it - it's certainly a nice little area.

Another place that I've heard really good things about is Wentworth by the Sea down in New Castle. My parents stayed there and loved it.

Try "The Mount Washington Hotel". The location is stunning all year round but teh prices are out of my league.

I have not stayed there but I live one town over and shop in the local shops nearby. The whole area is always nicely decorated for Christmas. I know one person who actually stayed there and had a lovely time.

Suzet-if you have not already-sign up for their E-mails. They have monthly drawings for prizes and free stays.

The Mt Washington Hotel is beautiful. We had a once and a lifetime chance to stay there when we went to the Society for the Protection of NH Forest's 100 anniversary retreat. They had room rate deals worked out for all members attending and we had a great time. The scenery is beautiful. We went for a run every morning and viewed such wonderful scenery

"while promoting the wise use of its renewable natural resources."

I used to be involved back in the '80's until I realized they were defeating my intended purpose.

Not sure what you mean by "defeating my intended purposes" could you elaborate? They have helped to conserve thousands of acres of land from developement. They have saved farms and other open spaces from being deveoped. They are rated as one of the best organizations in the country as far as getting the most for the donated dollar. I am a member because I believe the preservation of open space is vital. Granted, I am probably their most conservative member, as many are left wing wackos but I look beyond that because preserving open space is important to me. They have even named conservative republicans as forresters of the year. They believe in logging-when done properly. They are not like the Sierra Club and other groups of the like.
