I'm curious as to what people's favorite or least favorite NH restaurants are.

One of my favs is Cafe Nostimo in Portsmouth. It's greek food. It's good and and it's affordable.

If you live close to Portsmouth and like Greek food you should try Cafe Nostimo. I've been a dozen times and never had a bad experience. it's very affordable too. I find that most restaurants are not worth the money these days.

if I just want chicken fingers and fries, there is no better place than The Puritan Backroom, in Manchester/Hooksett. Also they have renown mudslides.. Im not a mudslide guy, but yet I even drink one there. 2 per person limit, theyre strong.

If I wanted to pig out, Gauchos Brazilian steakhouse. Sometimes some of the meat isn't cooked the way I like it, but there are over 10 options of premium meats, and a few are always cooked perfectly, and yes its all you can eat!.. Good salad bar too.

Best Dressing in the state: Giovanni's Roast Beef, house dressing. Great on one of their Steak kabob salads.

Great restaurant to go to last minute.. (the Farm Bar and Grille in Manchester) Great food, great bar area. tons of beer on tap. tons of custom drinks. Competitive eating competitions, tons of TV's for sports, and cute employees. and even the busiest night of the year, you can get in without a reservation. Valentines, mothers day, game day, any day.. ID HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE NACHOS, huge portion of guacamole for 1$ extra! (No I don't work there)

Great delivery, pizza 911 in manchester, checkmate pizza in londonderry, derry express(Chinese), yianni's Bedford location. Phop in plymouth

Good places up north.. THe mug in the lakes region and the Italian farmhouse in Plymouth nh.

Best food at the ocean besides seafood.. (sea ketch (nachos), or ocean wok mai tai and all Chinese food), Tripoli or cristys for Sicilian pizza

Great breakfast, Chez vachon in Manchester, or HOws your onion in derry (yes I chose hows your onion over mary anne's)

Worst restaurant: Margaritas, especially the location in Manchester. Horrible food, always has gristle, and the salsa always has shredded pepper stems! NASTY! Only good thing is 2$ tall Bud lights after 9pm. Still not worth it..

Another ****hole... ANY WEATHERVANE restaurant.. especially salem.. I don't eat seafood, so ive never eaten there. However I used to deliver to that store, and it is the absolutely, single handedly, most disgusting establishment I have ever been to. This place is dirtier than any episode of restaurant impossible or bar rescue.. mold, and grease are everywhere.. THey must pay off code inspectors, they have no reason to be in business.

Best dive bar goes to Olde Kilkenny Pub in Milford. It's sticky and smelly, don't even think of ordering food, best happy hour in New Hampshire.

We have so many good restaurants to chose from, there's no excuse to patronize the nationwide chains, or even the lesser chains like 99, Weathervane, etc.

I agree, if you're going to a chain for "Mexican" food, better to head for Shorty's or La Carreta (great Margaritas at the latter). But none of these can hold a candle to El Colima in Nashua.

Best:

Shira Kiku in Nashua for Korean.

Republic in Manchester.

City Room Cafe in Nashua for chocolate chip pancakes.

My inlaws love Cucina Toscana in Nashua and go every time they come up to visit...I'm indifferent on it.

Riverwalk Cafe in Nashua for coffee.

Worst:

Gianni's in Nashua on Charron Ave. Quite possibly the worst pizza I have ever had.

PastAmore in Amherst. Just make pasta at home and save your money.
