Is it as badly perceived as Newport or Claremont? Considering a move there (from Claremont,) but the property taxes are still quite high at $32.28. (SHEESH, how can New Castle -- on the coast -- be only $6.39?!)
I don't think a move to Charlestown would improve your situation much, YankeeMom. The comments that I have heard from the few residents I have talked to are to the like of "it used to be a really nice town".
Thanks. I thought it might help to get away from the "bad schools/highest tax rate in the state/highest teen pregnancy rate/high welfare" reputation of Claremont. Sigh.
