Thanks for all the info...man I really want to get into Europe somehow, it seems like it would be liberating. But...how the f*** do I do that?

Worst comes to worst I'll probably ride it out in my own state of New York for a while...there are maybe some places I could move to, and the cash assistance is pretty flexible from my experience. Damn I would love to venture over to a European country and live out my life though!...that would be the dream.

yea but who's trailing in happiness? Why do I care whether or not the state I live in is being productive...from the looks of it the UK is doing just fine

I think I've lost all interest in New Hampshire...I don't know where I'll end up, but I'd probably choose an urban environment over the places in NH. Well what's important to me is getting temporary cash assistance and I'm not sure which states offer that...isn't that common practice in all EU countries though? that's what frustrates me... basic necessities are given to the people...food and shelter. And we're spending money on fluoridating water

Now, the weather in MA can be tough so if you want to genuinely be a bum and not work, it would be best to head south or west. Maybe California.... The San Francisco are is full of professional students sleeping in doorways and begging on the streets...

If you really want to go for the gold, head to Europe. The Scandinavian countries are pretty much socialist states... The UK does not demand much of its people. If the UK were part of the US, it would rank second in GDP per capita... second last. The only state worse than the UK would be Mississippi... How lame would it be to be a developed nation and know that you trail Alabama, Arkansas, West Virginia... in productivity...

Britain would be poorer than any US state except Mississippi if it joined America - Home News - UK - The Independent

I have dual citizenship with Ireland and the US. I could move to the UK tomorrow.... Could move back to MA as well; I escaped over the wall to NH 19 years ago and my family and I are never going back.... It's not perfect, but NH is just fine with me....
Wait so...is it easy to get into one of those countries? I'd go to Denmark I think, or Sweden in a heart beat once I got enough for a plane ticket out. I have a passport which I've never actually used...but I can't just show up to one of these EU countries can I?

But maybe MA would be a good compromise...I took a bus to Athens Ohio last week and it was a total waste of time

Well, you won't be able to stay in those countries legally as I would, given that I have Irish citizenship and can live legally in any EU country: European Union - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Includes Sweden and Denmark, but not Norway.

Of course, you could get yourself a one way plane ticket and go to any country in Europe and just stay there illegally. I don't know if someone living illegally in a country in Europe can be eligible for the same benefits that someone living illegally in the United States can get - free health care, subsidized housing, a free cell phone, free food, free cash, a free car.... You'd have to check on that....

God- you people are cruel. There IS help for people who need help financially in NH- and you CAN get on section 8 and food stamps very easily- for the people who call homeless people "slackers" you need to live on the street for a month and then talk to me. How dare you treat this person with such disrespect for wanting a better life in NH. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU.

There is plenty of housing and help you for if you need it honey- you come to NH and they will take good care of you.

Ignore these self righteous *******s.

Are you for real too?

This guy is just lazy and looking for a handout. He freely admits he can work, but would rather live on the public dole, wherever he can get the best handout. I don't remember seeing anything about him being homeless either - I think he just likes to leech off others. If he's homeless, it's definitely by choice.

I don't think you're for real. No one in their right mind would feel sorry for the OP

I think I've found a really perfect place to try this out...

North Adams MA... right next to another college town, and right on the border of NY and NH...I think that's my shot right there

Read the guy's posts. He stated that he does not want a job, just trying to find the best place where he can gets benefits from the government - state government, federal government.. heck, he is ready to fly to Europe to find the best place to be there for handouts... He wants to be an eternal student and read a lot with no goal of ever participating in the economy...

I'd call you a jackass, but that would be redundant....
