We are living in Utah now and want to move back east. We are originally from Brooklyn, NY. A house that we both really liked is in this area. Can anyone please tell us about this area (crime, age, things to do, etc.)? We are both retired. Are we choosing the right area for retirees?
Thank you, NEBeachcomber. I appreciate that you were able to offer some useful information. Have a great week. I would like to be an NEBeachcomber also.

If you move to Rochester, NH you'll only be about an hour away from being a New England Beachcomber.
No way no how I'd ever live in Rochester, it's cheap for a reason. Take a look at the important stats for Rochester, the crime rates. There are various sites to look at. If I had to live there I'b be sure to practice the 2A, which I do on the rare occasion I visit.
