Most installers if not all do not have a septic system designer on staff.

So, it is the perk test first. Design second. Installer/dirt contractor third.

Now, would you like to hear about Larry's story on how he got a new septic system without much of the cost?

Yes, I would be very interested in Larry's story. Any information that helps navigate my way through the red tape is appreciated!

The system is not working properly, the people that helped my dad put the system in were pretty much just interested in having a place to hunt and fish in exchange for their work.

Larry had one put in by a retired installer. On a Sunday.

My neighbors have a cottage on the lake that is probably only used 12 to 15 weeks a year since it was built in the 60's with a septic for 3 bedrooms.Last summer they were up for a week and noticed some groundwater bubbling up where the tank is located.
They called to have it pumped out and the driver told them that the system might be failing.
When they expressed their concerns about a new system,it caused me to think that there is no way a system could fail that is used so little so I got a few tools together and pulled the cover to have a look see while the tank was empty.
I shined a light in and saw that a maze of small roots had grown right over the exit pipe to the leach field and took about 5 minutes to clear them away.
Its a gravity fed system and dry as a bone....should last them their lifetime.
