More like impossible to respect someone that seeks to deny any of my rights.

It is still federally illegal, although that will likely change within the next 5 years. Write your congress critter to recommend introducing the change federally.

Until the federal government does what is right and abolishes the law that makes it a felony it matters not what you state does, you can still be charged with a felony, also most all states that currently have made it legal effectively deny your right to own a firearm if you elect to use it. Your point therefore is moot

Theoretically maybe... But in the real world, surrounding states are much more "free" when it come to cannabis compared to the "Live Free or Die" state. How many people in Maine, Mass., or Vermont have been brought up on Federal felony charges due to cannabis possession???

New Hampshire does allow cannabis possession. As long as you pay them their $50 and get a doctor's permission.

Not all New Yorkers are a problem. Upstate is a very "red" place and hold the same values as native Northern New Englanders. The entire state is held hostage by NYC and it's very unfortunate.

100% agree... upstate NY is red. Want out of NYS, but fear NH is going is turning blue like the surrounding states. NH's Live Free or Die motto is dying.

Being red/blue and the Live Free Or Die motto don't correlate with each other. If New Hampshire were a true red state, gay marriage wouldn't have passed and would have violated that motto wholeheartedly. If New Hampshire were blue, it wouldn't have very lax gun laws and low taxes, because that would violate Live Free Or Die. New Hampshire, by and large, still adheres to that motto and uses an interesting mix of left and right policy to achieve it. It is why it's still a true purple swing state, both in its local and national politics.

You want a true red state, go live in Alabama or Mississippi, and see how well your quality of life and individual freedoms hold up there.

Isn't pot legal in NH?

This thread is WAY off topic. The point was about which, any candidates had ANY proposals that would enhance, rather than limit our freedom.

If any of you go to the "town halls" of the candidates, please ask them this question.
