Hi everybody.
Planning to move up to the area in early to mid March from North Carolina. (originally from the Northeast)
The rental market is so crazy right now. Love the old repurposed mills up there that have been turned into apartments. Have been on waitlists and spent hours a day searching but apartments are few and far between. Also, the timing is tough. It seems most people up North only give 30 days (or 60 days max) notice on moving out which means it gets really tight trying to book an apartment while also planning everything else for the move (a uhaul, the days to drive up, etc).

I was just wondering if anybody had any leads on any apartments (ideally with some character like a mill or loft space but open to anything) with availability anywhere from mid February to the end of March.

1 or 2 bedroom (or a large loft) ideally under $2,000 (the cheaper the better). Hardwood floors and washer and dryer are a plus. Some included utilities are a plus. Ideally in Newmarket, Dover, Exeter, Portsmouth or Southern Maine (Eliot, Kittery, York or anything coastal up to Wells)

Thanks so much!

Good luck - With many people settling into permanent WFH jobs and Taxachusetts collecting based on employee address, apartments in the seacoast are about to get a bunch more expensive.

You may want to consider buying or leasing a mobile home. There are 11 mobile home parks near Portsmouth.
