Can anyone give me any info on Bow? How are the schools, shopping etc. Also is Bow rural or suburban?

We've been looking at Bow and Bedford. Bow is considered a suburb, although depending on where you're from (we're in SoCal right now) it might not *look* like a suburb. The schools are said to be among the top in the state. Hopefully someone will chime in on shopping, some of which I think will have to be done in a neighboring town.
