We use Lingo (www.lingo.com) and it has been fine. $199 for the year, local and long distance.

the performance from Vonage cannot deteriorate as long as you have a reliable internet connection. Yahoo offers the as the same type. V.O.I.P= voice- over I.P. [ Internet protocol. ] your voice travels over as digital data on the Internet. the afore mentioned companies can only offer the same reliability of the internet connection they provide.
I've had terrible problems with Far Point " customer service"! They are far more expensive than the Verizon service that they bought me away from!
