Oh come on... So HOA's (which I'm not a fan of, BTW) are all about discrimination? Since the majority of HOA's deal with what you can and can't do with the exterior of your property, how is that discriminatory? I consider it to be extremely conformist way of life. I agree completely that it's a "herd" mindset, but some folks actually prefer it that way. Personally I couldn't put up with somebody telling me that I can't have wood stacked in my yard, or that my boat can't be parked outside, but again, some people I know wouldn't have it any other way, and don't want "eyesores" in their line of vision. I think it looks ridiculous when EVERY mailbox is exactly like the other, and the entire neighborhood is 3 models of the same home. That's the New Englander in me I guess.

Please give us an example of these undesirable activities that poor or "bad" ethnic people would be doing. Many HOA's don't allow chain link fencing of any sort. So no kennels, etc. Only "natural" looking material is to be used (I found it amusing that in my former subdivision, chain link wasn't allowed, but plastic I mean vinyl fencing was. But I digress...) What is it that we do not want these "poor" or ethic people to do? Park their boats or RV's in the yard? Put up play structures/tree houses? Be limited to the HOA-sanctioned siding color/materials? Cut down trees in the yard? Put up an awning to shade the sun? Breed dogs in the basement? Run a daycare? Again, I'm NOT a fan of HOA's in general, but I guess some can play the race/racist card in just about any situation...

Notice WHO he plays the race-card against. He knows he can get away with this kind of bigotry against whites and conservatives. If he did these same things to minorities he would be run off this board, and rightly so.

Come on ValC. I was taking a shot at the developers using unethical means to protect his percieved property values. Have you ever seen "The Villages" around Orlando. I went to one for a friend's wedding and the only non-white people I saw were cutting the lawns or tending bar. That place had a tyrannical HOA.

Personally, I deal with people as individuals regardless of thier ethnic or racial background and always have. I even put up with Republicans. (Joke)
