I just feel like North Conway has the most too offer out of the New Hampshire towns. It has a nice small town atmosphere, there is something for everyone. Snowmobile rentals, skiing, shopping. Nightlife may also be important to some on a night like new years eve. There are a variety of small restaurants and pubs to fit almost any individual's preferences. Honestly, I have been a regular visitor there for many years as I have family/friends there, so I may be a little biased . Still, if you are looking to go out NYE and mingle I can promise you'll find lots of friendly people, locals and visitors alike.
