A winter storm warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for most areas of New Hampshire. Expect snow in the mountains and far north with a mixture of sleet, freezing rain, and snow everywhere else. Be very careful driving because the roads are starting to get slick with the temperatures below freezing. This could be a very bad storm, and sleet is better than freezing rain. Freezing rain leaves a glaze on the roads which makes driving extremely dangerous for everyone.
My husband just called from work. He is in Dover-it is freezing rain and he has at least a quarter inch of ice on his car. He is warming it up for a while before he even attempts to try and hack into the ice.
let it snow let it snow let is snow. I've been in CT all week on work getting dumped on by cold rain. I was hoping northern NH/ME/VT was getting the white stuff. I have two free lift tickets to burn this weekend.

The mountains and northern areas of NH are getting snow; everywhere else in the state freezing rain is falling. I just hope we don't get any downed tree limbs on lines. The one caveat is that the storm is moving fairly rapidly.
great...I checked it earlier and it was snowing...hopefully it keeps up. I was at sunday river last weekend and it was awesome to make my first turns of the winter but it was seriously icy. It'd be great to get some natural stuff up there.
