Great info BF! Thanks!
We do have 1 splitter in the house and Comcast installed it for us on ONE of their many visits here! So, I would hope they gave us a decent one! LOL

I do agree that cable is over-priced!

Kelt- I agree that they just don't keep up with their equipment, infrastructure, etc. We've had the same modem since we moved in almost 3 years ago....think that may have anything to do with it?? A Comcast tech once told me that they do get "outdated" and that we could go to an office and trade in for a newer one.

Hi Jackie, when I was up in Plymouth it seemed like every 2 years I had to get a new modem from the cable office in Campton, NH. You're right yes technology stuff changes so in my laywomens opinion the new or refurbished would eventually make things work better. Adelphia Cable the first ones to introduce Cable in the Plymouth area..Yea rememeber those guys the family owned business was using the profits in the company as their own personal ATM...now its Time Warner up there....and they are really bad..scarry for me having lived in MA ( and no I was never was of those Ma people LOL )...I think you can tell by my post and comments...they were really bad back in the 80's ...and they are still providing really bad service...its unbelievable......

Kelt,
I know what you mean....I'm originally from MA too! We had no problems with cable EVER there....but I wouldn't trade it. I love NH! : ) (I wasn't one of those MA people either...at least I don't think I was LOL)

Jackie, yes NH is so much better. I don't mean to judge in any way all people in Nh but there is an attitude there when I have to go and visit family its very difficult for me to cross the state line then until I reach my destination and my head recovers from being a periscope..search up down sideways every where so I don't get hit NH is lovely but I'm beginning to be bothered my winter take care kelty
