Hi Guys,
How far is it (both distance and time) to go from Exeter to Manchester? We would like to live in/around Exeter but are looking at options for my DH's job. He would like to get a job as close to Exeter as possible but we are looking at areas within a 30 minute commute. He is a CT Tech and will be looking for a hospital job. He prefers a larger hospital where he can concentrate on CT and/or MRI only and won't have to fill in in diagnostic xray(like in a small community hospital). Also wants a hospital with a good reputation for employee and patient satisfaction.
How far out north, south, east and west can we be looking within a decent 30 minute commute? Right now I see Exeter Hospital, Portsmouth Regional and Wentworth Douglass. Any other suggestions?

Thanks, Cindy

I would say Exeter to Manchester is definitely within the 30 minutes especially with the improvements to 101 - I usually made Manchester in 45 minutes from Dover. Miles I never measured it LOL, so I'd leave that up to Mapquest. Exeter to Portsmouth and Dover is easily within the 30 minutes as long as traffic doesn't have any major accidents. Wentworth Douglas, Frisbee, Portsmouth, York (in ME and other issues), as well as some in Concord and Manchester would all be within 30-45 minutes I believe. I loved WD in Dover, Frisbee in Rochester is ok, Portsmouth is ok as well. I never used any other hospitals. My sister works at WD and I knew many others that have and they LOVE it.

Hope this helps some.

Exeter to m'cstr is about 1/2 hour in decent weather. There is a new medical facility opening in Londondery (1/4 hr more) with, (IIRC) high tech x-ray devices.

NH is a unique place when it comes to commuting. While there are lots of slow back roads, for the most part the highways are smooth and uncluttered.

The commute from exeter to manchester is FAST despite how it may appear on a map.

Glad to hear it will be a fast commute as compared to here in CA where the distance on the map is much LONGER due to our horrific traffic.
