Several years ago our condo board decided a medium green made the multi unit buildings look like Army housing. Eventually they painted all the building a medium blue grey. Now they look like Navy housing. Recently the clowns (I have to get back on the board to reinstate some common sense) decided that all flags, including the American flag, and satellite disk receivers had to be removed for some reason or another. I have not seen any sign of compliance.

They also required everybody to paint the front door and surround white. Ours was red when we moved in and remained so until I replaced the wood door with a steel one. That remained primer grey until I decided to paint it white. It needs another coat but I’ll get to that next summer if at all.

We are still in a condo because house and land prices climbed a lot faster than my salary (for the last 20 years I have been working for a pension and health care). Besides I really hate mowing grass unless I can bale and sell it and I have a propensity to collect “useful” things like old cars and strange machinery. Living in a condo has, probably for the better, prevented me from creating a really artistic Yankee Back Yard.

lol! Greg, your condo board cannot insist on anyone taking down their satellite dishes - FCC regulations state that no one/board can block a person's right to receive satellite or cable. they can request that you not have it in certain spots, but they can't enforce and say you can't have it at all.
