"The New Hampshire Senate yesterday voted to legalize same-sex marriage. If the bill becomes law, New Hampshire would become the fifth state in the country, the fourth in New England and the third this year to extend full marriage rights to gay and lesbian couples."
wow. at the risk of starting up another thread I'll get locked out of (though I'm still very pleased with how civil we all stayed and agreed to disagree with each other!), all I'll say is: Wow.
I don't think I'll be chiming in much on this one.... : (
It got a little too "heated" last time out.
No matter what happens with the bill, I hope everyone can stay civil and "agree to disagree" as Wanna said. : ) Have a great day everyone. Enjoy the sunshine.
If two people want to pledge themselves to each other, regardless of sexual orientation, and desire a state sactioned marrage, I have no objection and wish them the best. What they do with each other is none of my business. "Live Free or Die"
It will be interesing to see if this governor can show some leadership-just once. Gov Lynch, grow a backbone and either sign it into law or veto it. I hope he does not choose to do nothing and then it just becomes law. He needs to make a choice-sign or veto. If he actually takes a stand-whether I agree with it or not-then maybe just maybe I might have an ounce of respect for him.
I'm tired of hearing about same sex marriage and this and that...
I'm opposed it it %101, I don't hate the people but I oppose the mind set thinking its normal by many people.
