I live in MA and pay state income tax. Will I have to pay income tax in NH if I take a job there?
Soomeone told me that if you live out of state, NH will deduct income tax, but if you live instate they won't.
Can anyone point me to a site where I can get a definitive answer before I give an answer on th ejob?
Thanks for your help in advance.

If you live in MA and work in NH you will have to pay MA State taxes. If you work in MA and live in NH you have to pay MA State taxes. If you live in MA and work in a State that has a income tax lower than MA you have to pay MA the difference. See a pattern here ? I believe NH will withhold the MA tax from your paycheck.

I believe that any $$ earned outside of mass is tax free. At least it works that way in reverse...e.g. if you live in NH and work in Mass, you only pay taxes to Mass for the money earned IN Mass. Any paid holidays, sick time, travel time out of state, vacation time, etc. is not taxed by Mass. You should check that with a CPA or tax accountant.
