I'm looking for a good chiropractor in the area (Amherst, Bedford, Merrimack, Milford or Manchester). I just moved to the area and have tried one Chiropractor thus far with less than stellar results. Why? I don't want to walk into the office and be seen as a revenue stream. I don't want the first thing out of the receptionist's mouth to be, "what insurance do you have and how many visits do they pay for?" I don't want the Chiropractor's ASSUMPTION to be that he/she will charge me $150 for an "initial consultation" and then assume that he/she will "put me on a course" of treatments of 3x per week for the near future. That shouldn't be the assumption before I even step foot in the door. To me, this is a BIG red flag that the Chiro is more interested in the payment stream than caring for my needs. I've been seeing chiropractors for the last 15+ years, and I'm actually shocked to see how revenue oriented the ones around here have been.

So please, if you have a Chiro that treats you professionally, fixes what ails you and doesn't see you as a source of income to put their kids through college, let me know!

Thanks!

Hi!

I moved to NH from PA 3 years ago and was in the same boat as you. I went to several chiro's and either just didn't like them, or felt like they were just in it for money.

I am a patient of Dr. Boyden at Boyden Chiropractic in Bedford and I think he is great. He has always been able to help me (with migraines, neck and back pain, and TMJ). I have insurance that covers 12 visits, which his receptionist did ask me, but she had to so she could bill me properly. A good chiro will do x-rays before touching you, this is ultimately for your safety. While most chiro's want to put you on a weekly treatment plan to keep you "aligned", I told Dr. Boyden upfront that I will just come in when I feel I need to and he is totally fine with that, so I just call when I need an appointment and he can usually see me on the same day.

Dr. Boyden and his receptionist are both very nice, caring people with great personalities. Dr. Boyden has always given me the impression that he really cares about his patients.

I hope this helps!

I visited Dr. Kim Waters in Milford. They are great, I never felt treated as a revenue stream. She really helped resolve my lower back problem.
