Coming up next week from NC to visit. I know the weather is borderline for golf but if I get an opening what courses would you reccomend within about 30 minutes of Twin Mountain/ Bretton Woods area? Looking for full 18 hole course and under $60 so Mount Washington is out of my price range.

Thanks in adavnce for your input.

Though they don't seem to have their rates on-line, Waumbek in Jefferson is a beautiful 18-hole course and usually has good rates in the afternoons.

If you're coming with a friend, Maplewood in Bethlehem has a Monday/Tuesday special that's $70 for two with cart.

Thanks for the info. Any other suggestions would be welcome as I hope to get to play 2-3 times.

Bethlehem Country Club, right down the road from Maplewood, is also affordable -- $25 midweek, $30 weekends (plus $14pp for optional cart). It's $15 after 4PM. All of those are last year's rates, since they haven't updated the website. I'm not sure if they've gone up. The condition won't be what you're used to in NC (pretty much the case with any NH course), but it's a nice Don Ross layout. Profile Club in Franconia is another affordable option, but it's only a 9-hole course with a second set of tee boxes for a back nine. Don't know what it costs, but it's definitely within your range.
