Any suggestions on a tree farm in the Londonderry area where we can cut down our own Christmas tree?

I don't know any down that way. There's a place by the Lee circle. Warren Farm. I know it's a little ride from you. There really nice people to deal with.Their not to far from Calef's Country Store. Awsome smoked cheese and homemade donuts.Could be a nice little trip from Londonderry.

The farm stand and bakery at Sunnycrest are closed for the winter, but I was driving on Adams Road the other day and noticed that their little tree farm will be open this coming weekend. December 6 and 7 from 10-3. I'm not sure why they're not open on Saturday the 5th (maybe it would be a good idea to go over--could the sign be wrong?) Anyway, AFAIK, this is the only active tree farm in Londonderry.

Friends of mine have recommended Noel's Tree Farm in Litchfield for the entire experience of a hay ride, a bonfire and hot chocolate, Santa, etc.

Thanks Valerie! Does Sunnycrest have cut your own trees? I'll have to drive by tomorrow and check it out. Thank you!

CntryGrl, the farm will be open from 10 am to 3 pm both Saturday and Sunday, and yes, it is cut your own. The tree cutting area is on Adams Road, just a short distance from the main farm store on High Range Road (the rolling hills near the PYO strawberry patch!) Try to get there as early as you can on Saturday for the best selection, because the tree farm is fairly small.

Just so you know and are not disappointed, Sunnycrest's trees are what I would call "country-style trees" meaning they are not overly clipped and groomed to be what some consider the perfectly formed Christmas Tree. I prefer the look because it lets the ornaments hang free (vs. a tree so full of branches that there is barely any room for the ornaments and purchasing there helps a local farm to stay in business. Have fun!!
