It took todays road trip to make me realize what I love most about NH, it's the mountains. Mountains everywhere, I can see mountains outside my apartment, doesn't seem to matter which way you point the car except for the coast and you will see mountains, you will drive down mountains without even realizing at first, you will drive up them to see a view or visit a town in some cases

It's the mountains that bring the gorged rivers, the springs, the lakes. It's in the rock where you will find the faces. It's the granite state, the water falls jumping off ledges, and on the road side as you climb up a dirt road.

I love the mountains, they encompass and comfort me.

Try Winonia Road heading south out of Ashland. The first five miles are really twisty.

We are moving from WA State, and one of the reasons we chose NH was the mountains!
