I went to Pitman on Sunday mornings in the early 90s to attend services at the Gloucester County Community Church when it was located at the old theatre downtown and I also went to a couple of Christian rock concerts at the church. I have not noticed much in the way of entertainment shopping and restaurants but however it being Sunday everything was closed. I also heard back then the town was "dry" ( you can't buy a beer there). I am not sure if it still is the case now. I do not travel to Pitman anymore because since 1994 I have been living in Ohio.
