Hey everyone! I was wondering if Deptford Mall is a decent mall? There is a store there that I need to go to (closest one to our house) and I wanted to make sure before I make the trek that it's in a good area and is a decent mall overall. Thanks!

It's fine, but which store is it? Someone might be able to point out the same store at a closer mall.

By the way, if you read Southern Living, you may or may not have noticed that you can buy that in South Jersey, on the magazine racks.

It's a fine area. Honestly, there's no major mall in south Jersey that's in what I would consider an unsafe area.

Deptford is fine. It's not really that big of a town population wise...it's basically filled with shopping centers.

My wife and I go to Deptford only if we have to. It's not that it's bad, it's just very crowded. Pretty much for everyone south of the 295 and 42 interchange (and some areas around it) Deptford is the closest major shopping area/mall. If you go later at night during the week, it's usually a lot less congested, you just need to wait until after rush hour.

Why would you post on a forum and ask if a mall is "nice" if there is a store there that you need to go to? Why not just go to the mall? Are you afraid you'll get abducted by aliens in the parking lot or something? I'm not trying to flame, just seriously wondering about the thought process behind posts like these.

I think that this is a result of someone recommending the Berlin Farmers Market & none of us thought to warn her that it's a dump, but perfectly safe. That's why we answered & didn't question the post.

Have to say Deptford is one of the better areas to shop in. We came down here from Burlington County; I like Deptford mall & the surrounding strip malls better then Moorestown. Great shopping but as was mentioned, lots of traffic depending on what time of day you go
