Well, I thought about it after I posted that, & you're right. That's why I changed my advice & told her to contact Carol Erickson at KYW-TV. If it's possible to find the horse a home, Carol can & will do it. Carol*Erickson « CBS Philly – News, Sports, Weather, Traffic and the Best of Philadelphia

Oh, & Carol lives in Burlington County, so that will help.

It's worth a try

Carol might actually know someone who can help her with her horse. If she doesn't, she can do a short piece & air it. She's done that over the years &, as I recall, is usually successful.

Sorry for the late response. Things have been really mixed up and I'm trying to play catch up.

I am going to refer back to this thread when we have decided on a particular area. I know there must be some kind-hearted person out there who loves animals and understands just how important the horse has been in our history, as well as on a personal level as helpers and companions.

You guys are great. I'll be following up any and all leads. You can bet I have been having many sleepless nights. The pressure to find a new home for us all is intense. Sorry if I flew off the handle

Do you still have my email address? If so, send me an email to contact a friend of mine- she lives in the mobile home park next to the old Acme in Browns Mills. I do not suggest that one- I know there are better ones- have to get my brain going as its been 3 years. I can't believe you haven't found a place to go yet.

Oh; also my friend has a horse or 2 & I'm sure the boarding is fairly cheap from what I remember. She's a single mom & can't afford much.

I'll post the place later today when I am home, but in Gloucester/Salem County a farm near me was adveritsing horse boarding for $100 a month. I'm not sure if that is cheap or not, but it may be worth a look.
